Local Sanatan Dharma Sabhas were already existing in different cities and towns of various states since long. It was only in 1921 that with motivation of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya ji and Pandit Deen Dayalu Upadhya ji , Sanatan Dharma Pratinidhi Sabha Panjab was established at Lahore under Presidentship of Rai Bahadur Lala Ram Sharan Dass ji to bring all the sanatanists working in these sabhas for spreading the cause of Vedic Sanskriti, . The ancient historical place where Saptrishi Ashram is situated finds its mention in Puranas and other Hindu Scriptures.
